Learn to Skate



children on iceskates learning to skateOur program is designed for beginners of all ages which focuses on fun, participation, and basic skating skills development. Lessons are taught in a group format. The lessons are designed to teach the fundamentals of skating so individuals can continue in recreational skating or youth hockey.

LEVEL 1:Children who have never had lessons before or who need help marching across the ice.

LEVEL 2:Children who are beginning to push, glide and beginning to wiggle backward.


Skate Rentals are included. Each participant is required to wear a helmet while on the ice. Helmets are not provided but any type of helmet can be worn (bike, ski, hockey, etc.)


Kalispell Kickers Soccer (January to March)



IMG_9109Kalispell Kickers Soccer is an indoor, non-competitive, introduction to soccer for boys and girls. Games are once a week and played for fun and instructional purposes only. There are no other practices scheduled. Each game day will have two parts, an instruction/practice period and a scrimmage period.






Glacier Cheerleading Camp (January 6)




Glacier Cheer Website PhotoCome learn how to cheer for your favorite sports team with the Kalispell City Parks and Recreation and the Glacier High School Cheerleaders. (A portion of the proceeds go to the cheerleading squad). GHS cheers, chants, jumps, and stunts will be taught. Participants will learn a routine that they will perform along GHS Cheerleaders at half time during a GHS varsity basketball game. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is highly encouraged. Participants will receive a Glacier Cheer Camp t-shirt.









Little Dribblers Basketball (March to April)

20230318_102625Little Dribblers is a non-competitive introduction to basketball for boys and girls. 4years-4th grade. Basic dribbling, passing, and shooting skills will be practiced. Games are played for fun and instructional purposes only. There are no other practices scheduled. Each game day will have two 30 minutes parts, an instruction /practice period and a scrimmage period.

Spring Soccer (April to May)

kids playing soccerSpring Soccer is a non-competitive skill builder program for boys and girls. Games are once a week and played for fun and instructional purposes only. Each game day will have two parts, an instruction/practice period and a scrimmage period. All games will be played outside.  Ages 3years-4th grade


Mini & Peewee Sport Camps (June to July)

Sports Camp 10Pee Wee Sports Camp This fun, skill-based camp is designed with the beginning athlete in mind. The primary focus is to learn the basics and develop skills while working on hand/eye coordination & balance. We will also focus on the concepts of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respecting others. This camp will target the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, baseball, and floor hockey. Ages 5-8

Mini Sports Camp This camp provides a perfect first step into sports. The essentials of each sport are taught in a safe, structured atmosphere with lots of encouragement & a focus on fun. This camp will introduce the fundamentals of a variety of skills including throwing, catching, kicking, hitting, bouncing, & running. Ages 3-4

Cheerleading Camp (June)

Cheer CampCome learn how to cheer for your favorite sport and team. New cheers, chants, jumps and stunts will be taught. Fundamentals of cheerleading taught. The last day will be a performance day for family.

3v3 Basketball League (July-August)

3v3 Basketball3v3 Youth Basketball is an outdoor, half-court league. This is a fun, fast-paced, competitive basketball league, which will play over a 6-week period. Teams are limited to 4-6 team members and a coach. 3v3 is open to boys and girls grades 3rd through high school.

skyhawks 2Skyhawks Sports Academy provides sports programs where children discover and develop athletic skills and social values, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. We offer children a positive sports experience while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
